Today’s weather was very unsettled, just like any other Melbourne day. Sunny, cloudy, muggy, stormy, windy, calm, and different combinations of all of the above.
I decided to turn the awesome tree my friend gave me into an inspiration/goal board. I was trying to take some photos of it for my photo of the day when someone (I’m looking at you annoying husband) decided to stand in front of it like an idiot and pretend he didn’t know what I was doing. Oh well, the joke’s on him because he’s now the subject of the photo of the day. But I’ll forgive him because I love those stripy socks!
My friend took me out for dinner and gave me this amazing birthday gift. It’s a metal tree with little magnets on it and the design is called Blatterbaum (German? Swedish?). Love the wrapping paper too. I’m not sure what to use it for yet, either photos, hanging jewellery, or maybe to put my goals on for the year. Either way it’s really cool and definitely a gift that suits me. Thanks friend =)
After spending a few days back at work in the basement, I realise how much I miss being outside. Even though it was quite a warm day, it was lovely lying under the trees in the park during lunch. The bad part is when lunch and nap time are over and it’s back to work.
Walking home I saw this tree with ivy wrapped around it. We used to have ivy practically eating our fence and it was impossible to get rid of, but it does look quite pretty.
I took a walk up to the shops at lunch on a beautiful sunny winter’s day. I happened to walk past a church on the corner, which I had never really paid attention to before. I’m not religious, but I just love the architecture of old churches. Being winter, the lack of leaves on the trees also mean that I can appreciate the sky.
Some leaves on the trees just refuse to fall. I’m sure they’ll be gone by the end of winter.
I’ve been getting very lazy with my Project 365. I’m getting very demotivated with the cold weather and shorter, darker days. A lot of my photos are of what I’m eating and where I’ve been walking, just taken with my phone. Today’s photo is no exception. It’s been hard to keep up the photo of the day, and I’m feeling like I should just give up, but I’ll keep going because I’m stubborn. It’s not great quality but that doesn’t matter because I’ll be kicking myself if I don’t make it through the year.
The leaves are looking great at the moment. This is the tree outside my kitchen window in the late afternoon sun. The colours are so pretty.
It was a beautiful autumn afternoon and our tree outside our kitchen has started changing colours. I still don’t know what kind of tree it is. I thought it was maple because of the leaves, but now I think it’s a kind of oak tree because it has acorns.
It was the perfect day to sleep in, be lazy, do a bit of reading and go for a walk.
I found this cute tree today on my way home from work. I don’t know why but it’s covered in little red hearts. Aww, so sweet. Taken with my iPhone.
I got up early to go for an attempted run, which meant I got to be up for golden hour. This is from the tree outside my kitchen window that I get to see every morning. I love this tree. Pretty colours in autumn (which you’ll see later in the year) and currently lovely green foliage in summer.
