The entrance to our little one’s room, who we’ve named Blah Blah for the moment. We’ve got her name all picked out, but not revealing until she actually gets here to avoid anyone saying horrible things about it. Still waiting waiting waiting.
We got this baby bouncer (with toys) from my brother in law and his girlfriend for Christmas. It will be good when this baby comes so we can finally use it!
We had a few friends go to China to work and they’re back to visit for a few weeks. They decided to get us some ‘genuine’ Star Wars Lego merchandise, also known as Star Wart over there apparently. Just to add to this exciting gift, it was missing so many parts. Gotta love Chinese rip offs.
I forgot to take a photo this morning, so here’s some octopuses on my bedside table that I see every morning when I wake up. I’m really not good with these time of day themes.
I fell in love with this giraffe when my cousin was pregnant with her first child, and I’ve been buying them for people ever since. Unfortunately the shop I used to get them from closed down a while a go. So I was very excited when the husband tracked one down and bought it for me. It’s so good that I have to keep it in the plastic until the little one comes.
Actually it’s not that far away, just over a month, until our little one comes and we get to have bath time! Although I’ve heard that the last month is the hardest, big, hard to move, aches and pains, tiredness, anticipation, so maybe it will feel a long time to go.
BMO is one of the weirdest but funniest characters from Adventure Time. “The batteries go in my butt!”
A bit of a rushed photo today. I’m really not feeling this month’s theme prompts, or maybe I’m just not feeling anything at the moment except for tired and over it.
So here’s a photo of the pink dog that sits on my bed head, a place of peace for me.
My favourite character from Adventure Time is Lady Rainicorn. Even though I don’t understand what’s she’s saying, she’s just so colourful and cute. The husband was my KK last year and this was my gift, for the baby he said, but I’ll be keeping it for myself!
I bought this inflatable ladybird for my cousin’s son a few years ago, so when we found out we we having one a child of our own, I was so happy that Ikea was still selling these things. Even if our future daughter doesn’t like it, I love it and think it’s lots of fun. We don’t have anywhere to put it at the moment, so into the cot it goes for now.
A few of my friends were wondering what to get the husband for his birthday. I mentioned that he liked Adventure Time and that his favourite character was Lumpy Space Princess. Some of my friends, not knowing what Adventure Time was asked “Are you sure?” Lucky they trusted that I wasn’t just making it up and they got it. I love her. She’s so crazy and random and fierce, and I also love that she’s voiced by a man. If you haven’t seen Adventure Time before, get on it!
Now the sheep has become friends with the octopus. Okay, I promise no more lazy photos of the sheep from now on!
It’s been tough being back at work. Here is the new addition to our family we got from our New Zealand trip. Baa!
I have decided to keep the sheep from New Zealand. He’s become good friends with the scary blue thing that the husband loves so much.
I was packing up my camera bag/travel bag when I noticed this little guy slip in. Now, he looks pretty damn weird, but the husband loves it. I got it for a birthday ages ago when a friend was working at Ikea. I still have no idea what it is, but the husband enjoys throwing it at me and putting it on the top of doors to fall down on me and scare me. The blue thing and I have a love/hate relationship. Unfortunately I’m trying to pack light, so it cannot come.
I’m so excited; New Zealand here we come!
It’s been almost two years since we went to Japan. I got this guy from a theme park called Fuji Q, which strangely enough is around Mt Fuji. It’s so cute and happy, like every toy in Japan. You put a face on anything and suddenly it’s cute and I want it. I made the husband walk back to get it. He was a bit annoyed because we were missing out on some serious ride queuing time!
Just another bleh day at work. I know I’ve taken a pic of the daleks before, but they’re reflective of how I’m feeling at the moment. It’s been challenging, and I’m learning a lot, but it’s also been tiring and frustrating. Hopefully it’ll get better soon.
At least I have the weekend to recover, except that I volunteered to work tomorrow. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and it’ll be great I get paid, but right now I’m not looking forward to it!
Today was another day where I almost forgot to take a photo so these little guys are hanging off the lamp on my bedside table. These little voodoo dolls were the first thing I bought (apart from food) in Thailand on my first trip overseas without my family about 5 years ago. I originally bought them to give to my friends as souvenirs but they were too cute so I kept them myself. I actually did end up giving two of them to my now husband, but we’re married now so what’s his is mine by default! His favourite one is the evil black one with the red eyes.
My workmate is due to have her first baby in 3 weeks and had her baby shower today. I bought this little kitty for her little baby to be. I love its cute stripes and it also rattles. I think I’ll have a lot of fun buying cute things when I have kids (in the distant distant future).
Buttercup is a little ceramic horse that my husband (then boyfriend) got for me in the first year we were going out. I had mentioned how cute I thought it was in the shop and he sneakily went back later to get it for me. All the horse does is nod. He’s very agreeable so he just sits on my bedside table, happily nodding away.
