I haven’t folded a paper aeroplane for a while, and this one didn’t fly very well!
This is what happens when you have really poor quality jotter pads! The paper never tears off properly.
Now that we’ve bought a house, we can do away with all the old property brochures, section 32s, post it notes with our impressions of places, and generally unnecessary junk that we’ve accumulated over the last few months. It feels good to not need it anymore. Into the recycling bin it goes!
I’m a bit over folding, so I’ve decided to take a break and start blowing up the lanterns and putting them up. I really like how they’ve turned out and I think they’ll look really great on the walls. I’m well on the way to finishing something at last! Although I don’t think the husband really likes me leaving them in the middle of the living room floor while I’m putting it all together.
I’ve been doing more folding for my paper lanterns, which I am determined to finish in the next month. I love the pretty colours. The striped pattern is probably my favourite. Only about 120 more to fold before I’m done.
I love colourful post-it notes. They are great for making my many to do lists.
Our dining room table rarely ever gets used for its intended purpose. It mostly gets used as a storage area. A small sampling on what’s on the table today are my car keys, pens, receipts I need to put in for salary packaging and a few bills that have been paid but not filed away. Other things on the table that aren’t pictured include a cardigan, a tie, some unwashed tupperware, a plastic bag, some miscellaneous cables, some junk mail, perfume, lipbalm, wrapping paper, post it notes, an oven tray, and a book. I don’t like clutter, but kind of got used to living this way. I should really change that.
Our friends came back from Taiwan and got the guys some awesome robots. They’re made of paper and it was hilarious watching them trying to put them together as the instructions were vague and not in English. However, they succeeded despite my very vocal doubts. They look pretty cute.
We went to go see Skyfall last night, and even though I didn’t like it as a Bond film, I thought overall it was a good film. Much better than Quantum of Solace.
We don’t see movies much in recent times because it’s always so expensive and the movies are disappointing and people can’t go for two hours without checking their phones or being generally annoying. Hence why we were seeing it on Tightass Tuesday.
However, we used to see them all the time when we first started going out and I used to fold cranes and other animals out of the tickets. It only seems right to continue the tradition, so many years later.
I did some more folding for the paper lanterns today. I love the polka dot colours.
Some more coloured paper for my lantern project. Such cute colours.
We went to Japan in October 2010 for our honeymoon. We couldn’t go to Japan and not try some Kobe beef, so a day trip to eat the best beef I’ve ever had was in order. It was by far the most expensive meal I’ve ever had, but it was delicious. Unfortunately all the photos I have of the lovely melt in your mouth beef are on my phone, so here are some other photos of what Kobe has to offer. Here are our other photos Tokyo Kyoto Nara.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all. I’m not a believer in Valentine’s day and I think it’s totally overrated and definitely unnecessary as you should be showing the person/people you love how you feel about them everyday. So anyway, here is an obligatory photo of some hearts from this cynic.
